10th Annual LaRosa’s Balloon Glow Friday, July 3 Coney Island comes alive at the 10th Annual LaRosa’s Balloon Glow! Live music, family entertainment and Coney's Classic Rides make for a fun-filled evening. Later, the evening sky illuminates when hot air balloons of every color “glow” for all to see. The grand finale for the event is a spectacular Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks display over the banks of Lake Como beginning at 10pm. In celebration of our tenth year, we are proud to announce the largest fireworks display in event history – courtesy of LaRosa’s! Sunlite Pool will be closed for swimming at 9:30pm. For the first time ever, the Pool area will remain open for fireworks viewing. Only those who have purchased a Pool ticket will be able to view the fireworks from inside the Pool area. Per the Fire Department’s regulations, Kellogg Avenue will be closed during the fireworks. There will be no entering or exiting the parking lots from 9:45pm until after the fireworks display. Admission to the event is FREE. Normal rates apply for Sunlite Pool and Coney’s Classic Rides. PARKING CHARGE IS $10 AFTER 4PM. St. Vincent de Paul Annual Fan Drive Now through August 9th Once again, Coney will be working with the St. Vincent De Paul Society to collect fans and air conditioners for those in need. The donated fans & air conditioners will be distributed through St. Vincent De Paul’s neighborhood parish organizations, their West End location and other outlets. SPECIAL OFFER: Anyone donating a new fan or air conditioner through August 9th will receive a FREE Ride-All-Day ticket – an $11.95 value!
Cruise-A-Palooza Saturday, September 5 Noon – 5pm This classic car show features hundreds of makes and models from all through the years! Professional judges will award trophies to the top 50 cars. Games, prizes and music make this event fun for the entire family! Vehicle registration is from 10am-Noon and costs $15 per car on the day of the event. Advance registration is $12 per vehicle.
